    Rehandled Forgecraft!

I bought a couple of forgies on the bay and one had a loose handle so that seemed a good candidate for a rehandling. I got the nice folks at Bloodroot Blades to rehandle it in in Black Cherry Burl and I do say it looks gorgeous.

Size: 10.3 KBThe knife was quite dirty and some rust so I first cleaned it with "Break Free" which I think is the best stuff for cleaning old dirty carbon.

The folks at Bloodroot did some minor thinning and sharpening and it cuts like a dream and like all forgies has a wonderful geometry and balance - especially with the new handle.

Looks fantastic! How much did that handle and thinning job cost ya?

Luke and David are two of the classiest guys you could wish to deal with. Oh, that and they turn out amazing work. I have a custom piece coming from them, and I can't wait!

    This old Forgie looks incredible!
