    Thanks for all the advice folks.
    I didn't realise there was a classifieds on here - that may well be the ideal solution for me.
    I don't mind 2nd hand equipment if it has been well kept.
    It's the same with buying 2nd hand musical instruments - it's where the real value is, assuming, like I said, that the item has been well kept.
