Rakuten madness #12524 - 330mm Sugimoto Chukabocho
A rather unique knife - I've certainly never seen a 330mm chuka before (it's not in Sugimoto's catalog either).
Wonder if it's a #12 as it's like a double #6? (well not quite, but you get the idea).
Somebody on the old ITK, found a video of a chef from Hong Kong, who went to the main land and returned with a 450mm cleaver. The video showed the knife in action, cutting up extremely fine strands of noodles for a soup.
My first thought when I saw that was "the edge looks dead flat - menkiribocho?"
Yeah, it says 'sobakiri'
But it also says 'chinese cuisine knife'.. that's a little confusing
Either way its a pretty mean projectile in case of zombie apocalypse
Chinese noodle knife maybe? I don't know why they called it a sobakiri instead of a menkiri.
yup.... i also looked into it, and this knife was "sobakiri bocho"!
