if your comfortable using a 10-11 inch knife you should just give that carter a chance. even if it feels weird now youll grow into it. i know i would like it :)

Yeah I totally agree, perhaps just give it a little more time. I used 240s for ages but now I'm lost without a 270, it felt strange at first but not for long
 
I would say the same thing, since upgrading to 270, even the 240s feel a bit short
 
I have noticed in the last couple mo. that he has been getting longer 7-8 sun. Also he has been doing a "wide blade" which when I look it seems taller than usual.

I would also give the knife more time. That big of a jump is awkward at first, but after you get used to it you will wonder how you got were able to survive without a large knife. Glws
