Will return a favor in some way. Have two standing offers from members in Canada and Australia, but shipping, customs, insurance make me first try to get one domestically. Would like to study Mizuno geometry in my quest of picking a geometry for my heavy workhorse gyuto.

Thanks.

This is a great development in your workhorse project!

Things have been moving ahead. I have done a knife in a similar geometry to Mizuno, but I never had one in my possession, so it would be nice to compare them.

Besides, I really enjoy working with folks who use these types (and others) day-in-day-out, as I learn a great deal from heavy-user's prospective and they get better understanding of geometries, HT, etc from a maker's, so it has been mutually beneficial relationship. Like with everything else in life, there is no magic to things - if you study them, you gain an understanding why they perform/behave a way they do.
