I did a short video in the hopes of giving you a better idea of what the dyed Silky Oak looks like in person.
These are quarter sawn blocks of Silky Oak from Hawaii that were dyed and stabilized by K&G.
This link will take you to the web store. There you will find these and some other unusual dyed & stabilized blocks.

Many times there are pieces that do not look nearly as good in a photo as they would in person.
So sometimes I will try to show what the wood is like with a video.
Now I need to work on better filming and not rambling on so much.

Looks exactly like Northern Silky Oak from northern Australia.I am assuming they are the same genus?

My piece of silky oak is some much nicer than the Ozzy stuff I've gotten in the past. It pops!
