Hello, all. Thanks for letting me join up here. I discovered this site while I was looking for info on some new acquisitions. I have already found a whole lot of info on some vintage Japanese knives I inherited. I have been collecting knives for 15-20 years now; primarily the fine USA made pocketknives made between the world wars. But I also have a strong interest in fine old kitchen and butcher cutlery, particularly carbon steel. I expect to be participating in the vintage section. I'm not a chef, just a home cook that can appreciate using a tool that feels like an extension of my arm making big things smaller. Oh, and can you guess what my favorite handle material might be?
