Nice looking blade. I'm curious, what's Dave's method of etching?

That's a great looking knife and handle combination.

with a few minor differences: polished much higher on the initial prerp, used acetone instead of alcohol, buffed with slurry impregnated cloth in between etches to insure as stable and even a finish as possible.

1st and last price drop: $499.99

That's less than the cost of a new one, with basically a free handle (should be +$170ish), thinning, polishing, etching, and sharpening.

I've used this knife and will say that this handle is a vast improvement in ergonomics compared to a stock Kato IMO.
