I was fairly active over on KF's kitchen board before the schism and got a lot of great help there. Since I'm pretty much set for my own knives and haven't had much time for handle making, I've just occasionally dipped into the forums.
I'm a home cook who figures that if you are going to spend a lot of time doing something, you should have tools that you enjoy the look, feel and functioning of.
My favorite knife is my Tanaka Ginsanko 240 gyuto. That is added to by the fact that ginsanko/gingami is so much nicer to sharpen than anything else I've got.
