At least that's what the natives call Lexington Kentucky!
I have been reading with great interest for quite a while and took part in the HHH give a way/joke thread, so an introduction is overdue.
The wife and I have a kitchen full of western style knives, accumulated over, "ahem", many winters. We've got even more packed away in storage. There is no "need" for any more knives.
Well about 18 months ago oldest son came from Tokyo to drop off his 4 year old daughter for the summer, she was supposed to learn English. My wife walked on air for the summer and granddaughter was speaking English non stop by August (language number 3 for her); mission accomplished.
Well oldest son brought me a Nakiri. Holy crap is that thing sweet. It is stainless clad around carbon steel. No idea who made it.
Now I "need" another Japanese knife. :wink:
Following my usual practice of over analysis, I found this place. There is a fair chance I will start some flavor of what knife should I buy thread.
