This is a killer, killer Mike9 converted circa 1953 vintage chef knife with a deep patina

Don't remember the woods. They are stabilized burls. The handle construction is top notch and flawless.

A big zebrawood saya is included.

This is an awesome knife, but I just don't ever get around to using it....

The bottom wood looks like dyed box elder burl.
 
I'd like to add that it is a beast in footprint, but is actually very nimble, and easy to wield.
