Difference between these two Watanabe nakiris?

I see that the 165mm has a water buffalo ferrule (hilt) and that the 180mm doesn't mention the ferrule (hilt) at all, maybe it's plastic?
 
Regardless of price or handle options I say get the larger 180mm size. IMO this is the perfect nakiri size.

LOL but yeah I think it's a great size but that's a personal opinion really. Maybe some others will chime in on the size issue.
 
Still trying to see if Takeda will do a custom blade for me but I'm really considering the Watanabes. I'm 5'4", and I do really like 240mm gyutos so maybe a 180mm nakiri would be sweet.
 
the 180mm i just got has a plastic ferrule... maybe thats it.

agree on the 180mm length, it is a great length...perfect size for the job imo.
