Thanks, guys! This one made me learn some great little tricks. I mod'ed my grinder to accept huge pieces, and it really made this work cleanly, evenly and quicker than I had imagined. Every now and then, you get little game changing moments in this "craft", and this one had two of them. The other involved my "Christmas Saw", but you'll see the fruits of that one soon. I'm really happy with how it all ended up.

Looks great, Tom! Nice piece of wood as well as great craftmanship.

Really nice! Did you make the handle too? It also looks superb.

My latest piece for a customer is rehandling a Hiromoto AS Gyuto any way I'd like. I borrowed inspiration from some mosaic pin stock I got from Michael Rader, randomly.

It still needs to be finished (pins brought flush), and polished, but I'm really liking this one!

My latest. This is a hidden tang western conversion for a Carter gyuto Murray just sent to me:

Still some work to do, but I'm loving this badboy!

Almost done. I call this my "test finish". It lets me see what areas need further sanding, etc. As you can see, this one has turned out pretty well....

Let me know what you think, guys.
