    Hard maple question

Would a hard maple board keep its look or would it show scratches with use?

Traces of the knife are inevitable, but different woods differently react to it. - http://mtmwood.com/index.php?route=i...formation_id=8
Hard maple is solid wood and has fine pores, so scratches are clearly visible. Processing oil hides scratches. Wood treats itself. I talk about the end grain board, when the blade of the knife move apart the grains.
