Hello!

I recently got into vintage carbon steel knives. I bought some vintage Sabatier s and really like them. I want to learn how to sharpen using some wetstones. Anyhow I am really looking forward to learning about knives in this forum.

There's plenty of info about sharpening here. Jon Broida (who's vendor here) has made a great video course on sharpening http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEBF55079F53216AB worth checking out.

With proper sharpening you Sabatiers should serve you well many many years.

What an awesome video resource! THANKS SO MUCH! I am looking forward to getting a good edge on them. I know it says Japanese knife sharpening but I am assuming that I can sharpen the Sabatier's the same way. I hope this is true. Lol!

I also need to learn how to steel them correctly.
