Hi Everyone,

I am selling 2 of the above brand new knives in subject. I got them for my relatives but too big for their home use, their loss your gain.

These are pretty special, even Blueway only has them in nakiri. One has ebony handle and the other ho-wood (magnolia).

They are significantly more expensive compared to the usual Swedish stainless, due to the steel, engraved kanji and damascus cladding.

Prices are $450 for magnolia and $530 for ebony, shipped anywhere in the world. Anyone interested pls PM me.

Here are the specs & photos :

Magnolia
. length of cutting edge : 230mm
. total length : 382mm
. height of blade at heel : 47mm
. thickness of spine above heel : 2.8mm
. thickness of spine in the middle : 2.3mm
. weight : 200grams

is it the angle or are these not very lazerish?
Looks like these are extra thick blades. They do also make them for the regular swedish and white #2 runs sometimes.

GLWS!

These are a different animal to the extra thick Zen-ko knives, they are forged by Yamatsuka iirc. Stunning pieces, the pair of them, seriously tempted by the ho wood/white bolster. GLWS.

Everyone, I was told that these are standard profiles but using different measurement standard compared to the zen-ko ones.

I do use a zen-ko "extra thick" daily and spec-wise, thickness seems similar.

The one with ebony handle sold!

Thank you.

They're beautiful! If it was a western I'd have to dig into the sock drawer. GLWS

Thanks, Erilyn.They're beautiful, aren't they.

A Japanese handle not for you?

Those are some fine looking blades, but I am on temporary hold from acquiring new knives. Where do you find these things if its not a secret?

I have a knifenut cousin who lives in Japan. Need I say more?

The magnolia one still for sale.

Not for 240s. They become more like swords to me at that length and I always feel like I'm about to do battle lol.

If it was a 210 I would have been all over it. GLWS!

FWIW most Sakai knives run short , the 240 s are usually 230-235 mm actually
