    Looks nice! They have already hit their goal. It's interesting to see larger companies use Kickstarter, can't decide if that is a good thing or not.

    Looks a bit more idiot proof with pre selected temps for different meats etc. Also the ability to control it with your iPhone, which seems a bit gimmicky to me.

    You are correct, 800 instead of 1,000 watts, a 20% decline. I think it will be popular but I am still glad I got the original, especially as I am a Windows phone user.

    yeah... they are still selling the original one too... i'd prefer the original over the new one myself
