So...this is what is left of my old bester 1200.



Is there any way to use the rest of the stone for anything? some way to harvest it for a strop?

Trash it after learning about he outside mm of the bester stones being less useful than the inner?
 
Use it as rough finger stone for polishing knife body.
 
How about gluing it to a wooden base? Those cracks will remain of course, but I believe if glued accurately they might not affect sharpening.
