Atoma diamond plates are somewhat different from other diamond plates. To prevent clogging and sticking to stones (AKA sticktion), when used as a stone flattener, the diamonds have been electro-deposited with surface interruption.

Atoma diamond plates are reported to be the fastest cutters while providing the smoothest surfaces (on tools and stones).

Atoma diamond plates are recommended for flattening both Japanese synthetic and Japanese natural stones as well as sharpening hard steel knives & tools.

Hi Dave, if I want to get one plate for flattening synthetic stones for fairly infrequent home use, which plate makes the most sense?

    Thanks

    Hi Hadi,

The 140x is the best for flattening, I use this on every stone I have.

    Thanks for for your inquiry!

When exactly does the sale end? I'm interested in a new plate, but I just lost the money I was gonna spend on one betting on OKC in the playoffs . Anyway I can still get in on this?
