Hello from France

Hi everyone,
I would like to introduce myself.
I work for a wine trading company in Bordeaux.
My girlfriend is a vegetarian chef
I'm a knife enthusiast and love spending time sharpening my knifes and straight razors.
I have a couples of stones: 1k choosera, a couples of coticules (my go to stones) and two Jnats (shoubudani asagi and nakayama kiita)

I hope to have a good time here on this forum and i'm looking forward to all of your precious advices.

As an American, I can't understand why someone living in France, working in the wine business, with a [presumably] French girlfriend who is a chef, could possibly have anything but a "smiley face" attached to that description. (Unless, perhaps, her vegetarian preference prevents you from ever eating meat.)

It's just a little bit sad that i don't have the chance to eat meat more often
