I found a site/web shop in the UK that sells diamond slurry in 90ml bottles.
The description is like this
The formulation uses De Beers™ synthetic diamonds, micronised into an octahedral shape for consistent long lasting cutting performance

And that's all there is. Would anyone know if that is mono or polycrystalline ?

I called the shop but the customer service people have no clue.

Individual diamond crystals have an octahedral shape, so that suggests mono to me. It is easier to control the growth of single crystals when synthesizing them as well, so it's likely that's what DeBeers would make. But that isn't to say the slurry does not contain agglomerates. Why do you ask?

Well - I managed to lose the spray I had for stropping, so looking for a replacement.

What I wanted to know is if you knew disadvantages to a polycrystalline slurry vs mono.

I had polycrystalline which to my understanding produces a toothier edge ? I was certainly happy with what I had, so that's why I was asking.
