Although it seems to have fallen out of favor and been supplanted by laser thin Sakai Yusukes and heavier knives like the Yoshiaki Fujiwara, the Aritsugu had quite a following in its day. One thing it lacked was a decent handle.

Mike Henry remedied that for me by creating a spalted tamarind handle with a .030” brass spacer and a green dyed camel bone ferrule.

It has been gently used in a home environment, It retains the factory geometry, as it has only been sharpened, not thinned.

The original Aritsugu saya is included.

$325 includes insured shipping to a U.S. address and PayPal fees.

Always liked the profile of that knife. Good luck with the sale.

Can't quite tell from the pics----is the kanji on that etched or incised?

Speaking of Sakai Yusuke, any interest in trading for a 270 Swedish? :O

I'd love to own such a beauty, PM me if sale falls through!
