But seriously the black ceramic he has is the Kyocera Kyotop "Damascus" line. I have one. It's meh.

The boning knife looks to be a Mercer Genesis or Wusthof Grand Prix. That all I can identify...

Forget the stones, I have to have the edge of glory. I bet I could get a second for FFFRRREEEEEEEE!!!!!

Accugrip Control Ball mothaf^%^$#$!!

I like some of Mings cooking shows we get them on public station. I do not think he is aiming this vid at knife nerds, the other 99% who know nothing. Never needed a serrated knife to cut tomato's.

Meals you have plenty support here for a new Gyuto. Depends what kind of cleaver you want, I'm a cleaver guy could give my:2cents: on that.

he did say a sharp knife would be good against the tomato, as opposed to a serrated blade

have the ceramic as well, and would agree with the "meh"

even with the amount of steel the sharpening tool takes off, for $5 per knife, shouldn't we all go this route :)

Thanks For the help. About a year ago I had a post up and got some great feedback on Guyto, I never pulled the trigger and then was given a Global 8 1/2 chef... I haven't been that happy with it. Let me bring back that post and get the ball rolling agin now that I have a decent cutting board.
