I've always thought a petty with 35mm of knuckle clearance was perfect, 36mm will do

That is going to be a very practical blade given the width, flat spot at the heel and belly towards the tip.

That looks nice. Could it be considered a small gyuto that isn't very tall?

Thanks Ramen and Matus. Those were design points when I was drawing them up.
I suppose you can call them a small gyuto. Why not?
