Me too. Would be even nicer if you could come up with a quick release system to detach the face from the mounting strip so you can clean behind it easily.
I thought about strong magnets to mount the holder.
 
Did you try using magnetic strips or some kind of rectangular magnets instead of round ones? Looks like there is a tad of steering caused by round ones. Otherwise nice job as all wood work you do.
 
Looks good. I would consider one but my landlord asked me to not drill holes in my kitchen walls or cabinets. :( Have been trying to think of an adhesive solution.

It is strange, but strips and rectangular magnets are much more expensive with the same attractive power.
