Okay not really a joke but more of a story. My grandparents took me and my brother out to eat chinese food in san francisco. It was always a big deal to get chinese food as kids, it was always a big treat. Going to SF was also a huge outing, coming from a small town into the big city.

I can't forget the lunch we had. The food was outstanding. I mean the dishes were just so fresh, you couldn't see into the kitchen but the entire restaurant had the aroma of hot woks churning out dish after dish. For some reason it took us over an hour to get our food. The entire time we waited for our food we could hear the kitchen laughing. They laughed so loudly...they kept talking and laughing.

Maybe they were getting drunk on the sherry as they cooked our meals. As kids we laughed with them. The sound of a Chinese man laughing was an unfamiliar sound, that just sounded so funny.
