Kanji/Image Translation Help

Hi guys. I wonder if anyone can help me. There is an image I have which contains Kanji and I think I know what it means/says but I'm not 100% sure and I wonder if anyone can help me sort of deconstruct it? If anyone can help I shall explain what it is and why I need it translated. If anyone can help at all I'd be very grateful

No it's not me in the photo but the reason behind this thread is related to tattoos

The background says "man".
The sentences from right to left says; "I want to be a man." "I want to die as a man." "I want to live as a man."
I don't need to know the reason behind it but hope this helps
