    Stone/Knife Info in Profile

Maybe it isn't possible, but I think it would be kind of cool to have in our profiles some more knife-related info that we could provide (i.e., stone setup, current favorite knife, worst knife, etc.)

Just thought it might be interesting.

Are you thinking about a separate tab for this or just getting people on board with listing their gear in their profile?

I don't know really. It could be in a tab or just in the basic information. Sometimes someone's knives tell us more about a person than their occupation.

Hey, no way I'm admitting I have a set of Guy Fieri's knives!

On BBQ boards folks tend to put that info in their signature lines. Would that work?

i'm on a photography forum where there is a long thread where people list their gear... then everyone just puts a link to their specific post in that thread in their sig line. That might work. It would be best if the time to edit each post in that thread never expired.

A signature link to the url of a profile tab would work just as well, and allow for infinite editing.

Just add "Knives" and "Stones" as categories under Basic Information. Maybe those wouldn't qualify as basic information most places, but here it would.

Or maybe a "post your collection" section of the forum where each person can create a thread and show off what they got if they would like.
