Need help to identify a knife

The knife is a 270mm sakimaru takobiki. I am not familiar with the kanji, would love any input regarding the maker, steel, and performance. The owner claims that the core steel is blue 2, but he is unable to verify.

There's one like that for sale on bluewayjapan's eBay listed as
"SAKAI KANESHIGE WHITE STEEL
DAMASCUS SAKIMARU TAKOHIKI"

Slightly different kanji though!

"堺 金重 作"
So this indeed is Sakai Kaneshige one, whoever it is. Rather bad engraving, as are other Kaneshige hand-engraved ones you can find on the web. Looks like used but well-maintained damascus knife.

I'm not familiar with that name, but the name has long been around it seems (not limited to kitchen knives) so it might be from a small company in Sakai area perhaps. Not really sure anyway.
