For sale a Sakai Ichimonji Kichikuni Blue Steel Deba Knife 195mm with Saya.
Purchased from BluewayJapan. Its never been sharpened/opened. Have been meaning to send it to Jon. Was purchased for a deep water fishing trip that never materialized. I think its seen two salmon and two cod, nothing but fish. Its kinda sad when you buy a fish just to use your knife. Thats why its getting sold.
As much as I respect single bevel knives, they just don't fit my needs and are taking up valuable real estate on the wall magnet bar.
I used finger stones to polish the secondary bevel, came out great but discovered at least one shallow over grind on the core steel. The knife is certified dentou-kougeishi and is just beautiful. Needs to find a better home.
