So here's an interesting one.
I got this from an old chef at Kajitsu, it's a shapton but from Japan so not branded with any English. I cannot say much about it for sure in terms of grit and all that. What i do know is it is a very hard stone that wears extremely extremely slow but of course, offers less in terms of feedback. It must be a splash and go (that's how i've always used it and had no issue). This stone cuts pretty fast and leaves a finish that suggests around 2k grit range to me. Definitely more refined than 1k but still a medium stone, you can tell by the feel and sound. Flattened with a diamond plate for your sharpening pleasure.
A great stone for leaving at work for a quick, toothy touch up.
