When I was bored during my last trip to see the folks in Germany I was checking the vendors there - as I only knew one when living there.

I know that Shiro Kamo knives are also sold in the US, but I have never seen a LONG Nakiri like the one listed here (site is in German, but the pics aren't LOL).

Hope it's ok to post the link to the vendor page. As far as I know they do not ship to the US. If it's not ok to list it, please remove or let me know and I'll delete the post.

I love the shape of it, but am not sure how useful it is. Maybe it's mislabeled as a Nakiri?

I don't think i ever seen a Nakiri like that i am afraid this is mislabeled.

Not an expert but by the shape it looks like a Hamo Kiri but i am pretty sure this is not single bevel and from what i have seen i never seen a double bevel Hamo Knife.

Maybe one from the guys will be able to identify it.

this type of knife call Gishiki Bocho(儀式用庖刀 or 儀式包丁), normally use with a pair of metal chopsticks for Shinto shrine in Japaness bocho ceremony aka hochoshiki (庖丁式) or Hochodo(庖丁道).

That Shiro Kamo knife was sold by Cleancut a while ago as a "skinkkniv" which can be translated to "ham knife". So it's a slicer or carving knife, I guess.
