Mark, may I ask a question? Is golden amboyna burl just a color variation from the same tree or is it a tree related to the more red ones you see? I was always curious, just wondering if you happen to know this. Thanks! That said, some really great pieces here.

(Pterocarpus indicus) is the official name. This type of amboyna only grows in Papau New Guinea and the small islands around it.
This type is not nearly as dense or oily.
