I'm looking for something ORANGE!
Like bright ORANGE!
Biohazard Orange
Hunter Camo Orange
Traffic Cone Orange

Preferably something with some nice purty figuring etc. I'm trying to rehandle a nenox. I already reached out to Mark F and have scoured the interwebs with no luck. Any offers and/or suggestions are welcomed! Please no synthetics.
 
You'll have to dye a light wood like a Birdseye Maple to get that bright an orange. Check out K&G's color chart. Good luck.
 
Thanks Myron! I was hoping for a "challenge accepted" reply though!
 
Birdseye maple tends to resist the dyes ending up tinted.
I suggest calling K&G and asking if they have an orange block of box elder.
That or big leaf maple burl will end up with the brightest coloring.
 
I'd suggest calling Butch and having him make some micarta from a safety t-shirt material. Not burl of course, but a good alternative.
