Did anyone here go? Wondering about highlights, etc.
 
I think you are right Dave. I believe I heard some new Shun won something. But you have to be there and play their game to win and most commercial kitchen cutlery companies don't. The custom guys fall under different competition and rules. Takeda is always there but I've never seen him enter under any category of competition.
 
Never have been to one and I know Takeda is a frequent participant.
Does anyone know if he sells wares and what kind of prices he has at the show? Are they retail or does he do some kind of discount? Many of his different offerings, one offs maybe?
Curious minds want to know…

Having bought all my Takeda's off him at one show or another, I don't believe he offers any kind of a discount. He does usually have a pretty cross section of his kitchen cutlery and a few outdoor type knives. He also sharpens the knife on the spot for the buyer.
