Hello from Minneapolis

So this isn't my first post, but I figured better late than never.

I'm pretty new to high end knives as a whole, about 5-6 years ago I was a sous chef in a 4 star restaurant and this was my first experience with nice kitchen knives. Now that I"m all done with school (I'm a Chemist) and getting my own apartment I decided its time to re-educate myself in the knife area and make a few purchases. Aside from cooking I also brew my own beer, which is more or less cooking, and grilling is always better with a good brew.

Seems to me there hasn't been a gathering in sometime, perhaps we should try to do something about that.

Also good stores around here for knives and such? I've been told eversharp, which is where I bought my first knife just wanted to see what everybody thinks.

Probably the best brick and mortar store is Kitchen Window. It is in uptown at Calhoun Square. But the best knife store is the buy/sell/trade forum here at KKF.
