    Good things from the USPS

    Got this in the mail last week from John Jones (JMJones). It's a 200mm (185mm edge) hankotsu. Thinking I may have to scrounge up another piece of oosic for the handle to match the cleaver he made me last year.

    Wow. Congratulations. That's a great piece. I love the idea of a longer hankotsu, and John did a killer job on this one. Is that ground for southpaw?

    Nope, stuck to a 50/50 grind on this one. Figured the knife would be used in all different directions when trimming up meat.
