That is amazing. I dream of having something like that one day
 
The thickness of the block makes a huge difference in price. I haven't added it up, but I'm guessing this thing has about a $1k in raw lumber in it. Mortise and tenon joinery for the base, dovetailed drawer in the center, two pull-out walnut cutting boards (1 on each side). This was a fun, tricky project.
 
Geez! If only I had the room for one. A crazy board version would be world class!

Awesome work.. If you ever need Claro walnut , I have some 16/4 air dried.. Till the snow Flys anyway.. Beautiful work!

Wow, 16/4!! I would guess that would take 6-7 years to air dry down to a stable moisture content, no? Would love to learn more.
