Hi all,

Was hoping to get some advice/ideas on what to do with a pork Shoulder (deboned). It is just over 2kg ( 5 to 6lbs i think). Having people over on the weekend and want some new ideas. Unfortunately smoking isn't an option for me and would be looking for cooking to be the same day. Though prep/marinating ahead of time is easily done.

Make up a big pot of pork verde. Hack the shoulder up and get it stewing with some roasted poblanos, onions, garlic, tomatillos, chicken stock and some relevant spices, then thicken it with a little masa roux. Pour over your face and enjoy.
 
Use smoked salt to season the swine and bake it low and slow. The smoked salt can make the oven baked swine taste smoked :)
