Hey KKF!

Up on the block is a Teryasu Fujiwara Maboroshi Gyuto. Blade length is roughly 183mm. Clad in stainless for easy maintenance with a white steel inner core. The white steel is surprisingly low maintenance as well and once you develop the patina, its basically indestructible.

Asteger, you are correct. However, because of shipping rates and inaccurate delivery dates these knives, like most sold from the Japanese maker direct, are subject to inflated rates. The majority of shops in the US that have these sell them for around $300 for this size, thanks labor of love.
 
Practically brand new TF Gyuto. Bought on impulse to match my fiance's TF 190mm Gyuto. Needless to say, we don't need (2) 180-190 TF gyutos.

Christmas is over, time to splurge on nice things for yourself. Bump for perfectly treated white steel and a very finished product from Fujiwara-san.
