Several of my regular customers have asked for some untreated Walnut to be used for knife handles and handgun grips so I have posted a limited number of these in my web store in the "Exotic Hardwood - Untreated Wood" section. For those of you who prefer stabilized wood there is a big batch at the stabilizers right now. There are also a handful of new Stabilized Afzelia Xylay blocks and some new sets of Dyed Sycamore scales.

This new Walnut came from a friend who is a supplier of high grade gunstock blanks. English Walnut is a lighter colored variety of Walnut that is denser with smaller pores. Royal Walnut is a hybrid cross of California Claro and American Black Walnut. This gives a darker Walnut that is harder than Claro Walnut with smaller pores.

Marbled English Walnut & Indonesian Ebony.
