I've been browsing the usual suspects (in terms of knife dealers), and I can't really find many options for a 240mm carbon Kiritsuke in the $400-600 range. Anybody have any suggestions?
 
Aframes Tokyo, but I agree traditional single beveled kiritsuke is a completely different animal from a double beveled gyuto with a kiritsuke style tip.

if you went for one of the first two you could easily come in under budget and do a nice rehandle, they are supposedly professional grade anyway.

the last two are more expensive.

all available at jck in 240 or 270mm all single bevel from the sukenari page
