Have you tried rakuten? I've seen more than a few there, ranging from $250-300 USD IIRC.

The prices are MUCH cheaper than everywhere else. For instance here: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/yamakawa/item/692919/ that is almost half the price than in other places (eg Sugimoto Hamono website). Have anyone bought knives here, especially from europe? are they trustworthy?
