Long time lurker here and finally decided to join up. I am an amateur cook but do a lot of BBQ on the weekend for many people. Looking into a decent set of knives since the junky Furi's I have been using no longer can handle this amount of work.
 
Welcome! Love to grill/roast/cook on open fire but I do my fair share of 'Q' on the side so looking forward to hearing & seeing some of your food endeavors plus you came to the right place for knife info galore ... just have a look around then ask away ...
 
Welcome! I started with Tojiro DPs -- which were like a gateway drug. I soon moved on to Japanese-style wa handles and fancier, harder steels. Good luck with your own knife journey!
