I did a quick search & I don't find any info? I think there made by ether mixing abrasive in with clay or into some type of resin? But does anyone have the details of how they are made?
Type of clay
Is the clay fired?

Abrasive stones are made by sintering powder metal, ceramics and clay just below their melting points. This is all I got.

I thought they dug them out of the earth in big chunks and cut them down to size...
