For all you fans of the hot stuff, a heads up from the land of red and green that the first bushels of Hatch chile are showing up at the market. This year when they say "Hot", they really mean it. But don't be scared,:scared4: all that vitamin C is good for you!
 
Hatch green chile is great and if your lucky enough to find a distributor that has a farmer connection to the extra hot chiles all the better. I normally buy 40 pounds a year (sometimes twice that amount) and roast them and keep them in zip locked bags in my chest freezer.
 
My sister lives outside of Silver City. Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to ask her to ship me some.
