Hi,
I have bought a nice petty blade and a handle separately (from a swedish vendor) thinking i could install it myself like Maxim does it in his .
Then i watched another one saying a bit of beeswax helps to prevent the tang from rusting, then another oner one saying it should be epoxied for the same reason.
So shall i buy beeswax, epoxy or both?
I could use beeswax for other handles or cutting board, but what else could i use the epoxy for?
I've got some wood glue if that could be used, i would skip the shopping part.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you!

Thanks, chinacats!
I wish i had found your topic... I searched for a similar though, but could not find.
Anyway, it's a 135mm Hayashi blue 2 damascus petty.
Not too fond of damascus anymore but it was at a good price and thought it could be a good letter opener. :D

I've installed a few recently. But the handles I make could be considered nice so I wanted a more permanent solution. I went with devcon 2 ton 30 minute setting epoxy. What kind of handles are you installing?

Just a small sized D-shape generic red ebony handle bought from the same vendor.
Found some Evo stik wood adhesive at home so i used that. Might work, if not i'll try something else. :)
