LOVE THE GEOMETRY, going to really be nice in this western configuration!!!

Good food is essential, where knives are an integral part of the process.

    Hi Randy,

I am excited to see the progress of another one of your amazing Scimi's... I am using the heck out of mine.. Unfortunately, it is not a quiet blade going through Meats, poultry or fish ... every time I use it to slice in front of folks I keep hearing oohs and ahhhs from the crowd as they witness my endeavors....Magnolia oil does not seem to help.. somehow, I really enjoy those sounds... LOL

    LOL.. Jamie. Good stuff!!!

OK so made more progress and have some update photos.

File work 360* Lotsa. fine tuning to do this pattern in a smaller scale. Yet I am super pleased with the resulting look.. Was worth the wait for the right stuff to do this on the scale needed for this blade.. Will have a spacer and liner setup. Have not finalized the materials. However. Im feeling copper and black combination. with copper pins.. That to I have not fully decided on. as you can see I gave myself a few different options for many pin configurations. II will let the handle tell me what it wants. There will be a combination oif both hidden pins and exposed pins on the mammoth and the mokume. Thats the plan.

The handle is selected fully. Will be the mammoth ivory, crackle figure. withe Mokume Bolster and butt cap. That I plan to carve up and make awesomer.!! is that even a word? It is in my shop! lol

OK so enough talk. here are the update photos. Thanks for following along. I welcome comments or questions.
    Randy

I especially like the way the pattern flow with the curved tip of the knife. You really nailed it on this one. Really looking forward to seeing it.

My wife probably thinks I'm watching porn judging by the way I'm looking at my computer screen right now.
