The Big Guns - it's a size thing

Have been taking a lot of pictures of knives recently for sale, so I thought I would take some of the 3 big knives I have as a group. You've seen them before individually. These are some of my favorite knives, although not the most used, lol. Not for sale, but if you have to ask the price you can't afford it

Top one is the 430mm mioroshi deba (maguro mioroshi they called in Osaka where I bought it), next one down is the Watanabe kujira hocho (whale knife), then the 370mm Ichimonji gyuto. At the bottom is a puny 240mm gyuto.

    With a big apple.

    Older ones

    With 210 mioroshi deba

That's a big mother- tuna knife, man. I wouldn't mind having that thing in the Zombie Apocalypse.

Those are some amazing knives. The picture on KF of you holding the whale knife is crazy, the handle is very big

Have you ever tried to sharpen any of these knives? Does it take 2 people

The whale knife was touched up a little, and that was stressful. Doing a full resharpen would take a long time and kill your arms.

Haha, the 240 looks like a petty.

Wow. What you should do next is have a really tiny person hold the knives to make them look bigger yet.
