I know I have been missing for a while, fact is K&S has just opened its Sydney showroom (which I have been working on since May, installing timber flooring, joinery, yada yada). I hwill have more to say about that later, but here is the main topic today: Tanaka KU blue 2, K&S version.

Convinced by a few long-term members here, finally decided to offer this line, with two versions, both with K&S treatment:
1. complete package, with K&S ebony handle

2. handleless version, as many of you may have a couple of spare handles lying around :)

Oh man, so tempting as I've been thinking about trying my hand at my first handle... :knife:

Well, I placed my order. Wonder how long before they sell out?

I have recently put a handle on one, but I have to admit that I have not used the knife yet (in particular while the handle needs some more work). I feel I have a duty to post some photos :)

Love mine! It's very close in geometry/profile to the blue2 damascus...I loved that knife for everything but the crazy reactivity...I've taken off a bit of the ku on mine and find the knife fairly stable for an iron clad carbon. Love the option of an upgraded handle made by you or an option for making/installing your own.

In short, I love it! Great score James and thanks for getting these on the market! Oh and forgot to mention that the complete package involves James easing the spine and choil for comfort:)

Not long at all - I just got the last one without a handle from James' first shipment. I'm happy but others may not be... for a while at least. Handled version still available... for now.

That's what I got - the handled version. It's a great bargain, only $51 more than the w/o handle, and a nice ebony wood to boot. I'm not concerned about extra fancy handles so this was fine. But, if I was, James has this ringed gidgee double spacer double blond horn handle that's da bomb! I was drooling but it's too rich for me.
